The Unknown
The Unknown: All work in this gallery was made between March and June of 2025 and exhibited at Shoebox Projects, Los Angeles June 7-22, 2025.
In February 2024 I was offered a solo exhibition at Shoebox Projects in L.A.. I prepared work for a year, with the show in mind, and then the Eaton Fire destroyed everything.
Very soon after the catastrophe I needed to find solace in the act of making. The planned show at Shoebox spurred me on. I needed to work fast. I had little time to reflect and refine. The tight deadline freed me. Without any of my old tools, compiled materials or the comfort of a familiar studio I launched into the unknown.
