I completed Sarajevo Rose for the exhibition Resilience taking place in February 2024 at the annual Sarajevo Winter Arts Festival.

This is my statement for the accompanying wall text:

To evoke beauty while acknowledging trauma is a delicate balance. I admire the people who created the original Sarajevo Rose memorials. Their vision and actions on behalf of memory and truth telling embodies resilience.
